Pittsburgh Walk Now for Autism Speaks Chapter Kicks Off!

The Pittsburgh Kickoff was held on Thursday, March 26th at the Doubletree Hotel in Greentree, PA with over 220 people in attendance. The evening included many wonderful speakers including the walk co-chairs who are Kevin Daly, Mark Wallace & Rachel Pastor.

Our first featured speaker was Mary Sisca who shared her story about her brother, who is 24 years old and on the spectrum. Mary was able to give the attendees a different perspective that we sometimes forget – the sibling. This will be the sixteenth year that her team will be participating in the walk in honor of her brother.

Our second featured speaker was Darcie Buffone who spoke about her experience as being a first year team in 2014, how they raised money and what they enjoyed on walk day.

The evening was emceed by our good friend and supporter Val Porter from the popular morning show on WDVE radio.

All of the attendees were busy checking out the material tables, speaking with fellow workers and getting ready to get out there and fundraise for the 16th Pittsburgh Walk Now for Autism Speaks!
