Children who are on the Autism Spectrum or have sensory sensitivities are invited along with their families to a special holiday evening at Discovery Place Kids- Huntersville. Enjoy a low-sensory experience with Santa, specifically trained to engage with children with ASD. Footprints on the floor help guide the journey to Santa and children are invited to participate in holiday activities along the way to help lessen anxiety and provide holiday-themed learning opportunities. Music and lights are adjusted to provide a positive and calm environment. Museum admission is offered at half-price for this event.
