Chuck E. Cheese
Chuck E. Cheese showcases their ongoing commitment to kids with autism and their families year-round. Throughout the year, select Chuck E. Cheese fun centers host Sensory Sensitive Sunday events on the first Sunday of each month, opening two hours early for sensory-sensitive fun with dimmed lights and lower volume to create a calmer environment that otherwise can be overstimulating for kids with sensory sensitivities.
This World Autism Month, they will host a special Sensory Sensitive Sunday event at nearly all 500 locations across the U.S. and Canada on Sunday April 28 from 9 to 11a.m.. Fun centers nationwide will, additionally, host month-long fundraisers benefitting Autism Speaks. Through Cotton Candy for a Cause, Chuck E. Cheese will donate a portion of proceeds from Cotton Candy, up to $50,000, to help create a more accepting and inclusive world for all people with autism. Guests in-store and online are welcome to round up their purchase to the next dollar at checkout to donate the difference in support of the cause. Additionally, guests who place orders online can add $1, $3 or $5 donations at checkout and can also give back through the Chuck E. Online Shop: 10% of profits from all April sales will be donated in support of research, advocacy, programs and services.
To date, Chuck E. Cheese has raised nearly $300,000 for Autism Speaks. Beyond World Autism Month events and fundraisers, Chuck E. Cheese supports the autistic community through multiple initiatives. Sponsorships include the Autism Speaks Dallas-Fort Worth Run and Autism Speaks’ Walk events in Los Angeles and DFW, as a KidZone sponsor providing sensory-sensitive play areas and a visit from Chuck E. Cheese at each event.
