Autism Speaks Community Guidelines
The goal of these community guidelines is to help foster and protect our online communities. By using an Autism Speaks social media platform, you agree to these guidelines. Violation of these guidelines may result in deleted content, blocking or other restrictions.
Respect other members of the Autism Speaks and autism community
We want to foster positive and family-friendly spaces. We know the autism community, like any other, contains a diverse variety of experiences and voices. We encourage kindness and respect when interacting with our content and other members of the community. Harassment will not be tolerated.
We only allow content that is appropriate for all ages and demographics
We do not allow content that is offensive or inappropriate. This includes profanity, sexual content, slurs, terrorism, misinformation or defamatory comments.
We absolutely do not allow content that attacks anyone based on their disabilities, race, ethnicity, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. We also do not allow content that is harmful like pseudoscience “cures or treatments” and anti-vaccination propaganda.
Foster meaningful and genuine interactions
Spam is not allowed on our social media platforms. This includes posting repetitive comments or content, or repeatedly contacting people without their consent. Content that promotes or encourages solicitation or sale of products or services is not allowed.
We do not allow impersonation of others or the creation of accounts for the purpose of violating these guidelines.
