Little Star New Foods Story

The Little Star New Foods Story App is an editable social story to create for your child using your own photos. Each story has the text preloaded to give you a guide of what to write in the story to help your child learn about trying new foods. You can change the text as you need and record your voice on each page so it can be read to your child. The App also comes with a comprehensive tip sheet to give you lots of helpful information on what to do before you start to make changes at mealtimes, during mealtimes and also how to keep up with progress.

Fussy eating can lead to considerable parent anxiety with reports of up to 50% of all children experiencing some form of picky eating during their early years. This includes eating limited amounts and types of foods (particularly vegetables), being unwilling to try new foods, and having strong food likes and dislikes. Children with developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) may be more prone to fussy eating habits due to their insistence on routines and resistance to change as well as their heightened awareness of sensory experiences.
