Denied Treatment for Autism?
Getting benefits from your job-based health plan should not be a struggle. In this webinar, learn about federal parity protections and get referred to people and resources that can help.

In recognition of World Autism Month, we've partnered with the Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration to bring you this discussion on your legal right to coverage of medically necessary care for autism under "self-funded" or "job-based" health plans.

If you receive health insurance coverage through your employer, then your health benefit plan is protected by certain "parity protections" under federal law. Join this session to learn:

  • What benefits your job-based health plan is required to provide;
  • How the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act protects your right to autism care, including ABA therapy;
  • Red flags to look for in exclusions, limitations, or denials that may mean you still have a right to coverage;
  • How to appeal an exclusion, limitation, or denied claim;
  • And where to find treatment services or other autism resources.
