(September 4, 2014) -- A recent episode of AnimalBytesTV, an online network that features animal-based programming, highlighted the connection between Kamp Kenan, a reptile sanctuacy in South Florida for over 500 turtles, turtoises and other reptiles, and Shannon McDermott, a young girl on the autism spectrum who has a passion for animals. Kamp Kenan was started by former pro BMX rider and sports broadcaster Kenan Harkin.

Deron is featured on the cover of The Resident, a magazine for New Yorkers. Deron opens up to the mazagine about his adopted son DJ who was diagnosed with autism at 18 months.

(September 2, 2014) - The 2014 "30 Under 30: Young Professionals on the Spectrum” campaign has announced Kerry Magro as its winner!

Kerry is Autism Speaks' Social Marketing Coordinator and the founder of KFM Making a Difference in the Community. He is also a motivational speaker, a mentor and consultant for children and young adults with autism, as well as a fundraiser for affordable housing for individuals with special needs.

(August 28, 2014) - A teen’s wish became a reality. Sean Anderson is an 18-year-old from Tooele, Utah who has muscular dystrophy and autism. He can’t speak much and he requires a ventilator and oxygen to breathe.

Sean has always wanted to feel the sensation of flying but that was never a possibilty due to all the equipment he needs around at all times. But recently AirMed and the Make-a-Wish Foundation partnered to give Sean a ride in a helicopter.
