Spectrum Designs Provides Gainful Employment to People with Autism

Spectrum Designs is a Long Island company committed to enhancing the quality of life of people with autism, who often face barriers to employment. The company was started in 2010 by Stella Spanakos, whose son Nicholas was diagnosed with autism as a toddler and is now 22. Spectrum Designs already employs 30 people, most of whom have autism and hopes to expand to satellite locations in order to provide more opportunities for employment for young adults and adults on the autism spectrum.

MD News Looks at Autism Speaks Awareness Efforts
