The Center serves a wide range of individuals, from children to senior citizens, with a variety of problems, (i.e. school, family, marital, sexual, substance abuse, and work-related difficulties), which range from mild concerns to severe difficulties in facing everyday life. A person does not have to be "sick" to desire or seek services at The Center.

RICA-Baltimore is a mental health residential treatment facility of the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene located in Baltimore City. This facility serves adolescents and their families from the central Maryland region, the Eastern Shore, and parts of Western Maryland. RICA-Baltimore is staffed by qualified multidisciplinary treatment teams, providing treatment and educational programs for adolescent boys and girls aged 12 to 18.

Baltimore Mental Health Systems, Inc. (BMHS) manages the system of care that provides Baltimore City residents access to high quality public mental health services. BMHS is the local mental health authority, or core service agency, for Baltimore City.

Since 1990, the Washington County Mental Health Authority has been planning, developing and monitoring mental health services in Washington County to improve the quality of life for the citizens with mental illness. WCMHA has also been an advocate for consumers at the state and local levels and has been a resource for providers and the general public.

SELH is a 348 bed state operated psychiatric treatment facility serving adults, adolescents, and children. Current programs and services provided by Southeast Louisiana Hospital are based on the belief that persons with mental illness can and do recover.

The CSAs are the local mental health authorities responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring public mental health services at the local level. The functions of core service agencies are to plan, develop, and manage a full range of treatment and rehabilitation services for persons with serious mental illness in their jurisdiction as stipulated by the Health General Article, 10-10-1203, Annotated Code of Maryland.
