Public Service Ads Screen at Nantucket

Autism Speaks' public service advertisements, produced in conjunction with the Ad Council, were screened at 11th annual Nantucket Film Festival, June 14-18. The three television ads were shown prior to screenings of feature films at the festival.

Concert for Autism Speaks' Tickets On Sale

Jay Leno Headlines Oct. 20 Concert at Mandalay Bay Theatre in Las Vegas; Tom Brokaw Will Serve as Emcee

Tickets are now available for a special night of comedy on Friday, October 20 at 8 p.m. to benefit Autism Speaks, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of autism and raising money to fund autism research . The “Concert for Autism Speaks,” headlined by “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno will take place at the Mandalay Bay Theatre at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. NBC News' Tom Brokaw will serve as the evening's master of ceremonies.

Autism Speaks Forms Family Services Committee

At its June 13th quarterly meeting Autism Speaks' Board of Directors formed a Family Services Committee. The role of the Committee will be to advise the foundation regarding its role on matters not being addressed through Autism Speaks' current efforts in research and awareness. Areas to be pursued include education, litigation, treatments, insurance and medical care. Board Member Lilly Tartikoff will serve as Chair and will be joined on the Family Services Committee by fellow Board Members Dr. Emanuel DiCicco-Bloom, Andrew Conrad, Brian Kelly, and Gary Mayerson.

Bloomingdale's and Joanna Team Up to Support Autism Speaks

Back-to-School Campaign Features In-Store Appearances, Window Displays

Bloomingdale's and Geffen recording artist Joanna are teaming up in a back-to-school push in support of Autism Speaks. The 19-year old singer, whose debut album hits the airwaves August 15, 2006, is featured in the flagship store's Lexington Avenue windows as part of its upcoming back-to-school fashion campaign. On September 9, Joanna will make in-store appearances at both the 59th Street location and at the Roosevelt Field store.
