Virginia Board of Medicine Issues Emergency BCBA Regulations
RICHMOND (June 25, 2012) -- The Virginia Board of Medicine voted last week on emergency regulations related to the state licensure of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, (BCaBAs.) Over the coming weeks, the proposed emergency regulations will proceed through executive reviews by the Attorney General's office, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Department of Mangement and Budget and finally the Governor.
Autism Speaks will share the language of the proposed regulations once they are posted by the Board of Medicine and will work diligently to ensure they are appropriate to meet the needs of those we love with ASD as well as the providers who serve them. Please stay tuned!
