Malloy Signs DSM-V Bill

HARTFORD (June 5, 2013) -- Governor Dannel Malloy has signed a bill, SB.1029, that shields anyone diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder prior to the release of the new DSM-V from losing their benefits under the state's 2009 autism insurance reform law.

The bill was championed by Senators Joseph Crisco, Martin Looney and Rob Kane, and Representatives Cathy Abercrombie and Tony Hwang.
