On Tuesday night, individuals with autism, family members, service providers and professionals gathered in New York City to discuss how to better navigate the existing housing and residential supports system while exploring alternative models and efforts underway to better meet the community’s needs.

This Town Hall focused on the critical resources that impact some of the most important, but often overlooked, facets of adult life – including healthcare, financial planning and legal concerns.

Almost 100 individuals with autism, their parents, local service providers and educators attended the Transition Town Hall at Metro School in Charlotte. Those in attendance visited with local autism service providers; heard from local experts about how to prepare for a transition plan; and received information and resources.
