Last weekend, Autism Speaks hosted a Transition Town Hall in New Jersey. “Together, we have to be vigilant and united in our support to put a focus on transitioning youth and adult services, so that children with autism are able to fulfill their God-given potential and become successful, independent adults,” said special guest Senator Bob Menendez.

On Saturday, January 16, the Georgia chapter of Autism Speaks hosted an Employment Town Hall, the second of an Adult Services Town Hall series in the area.

Over 100 participants gathered Wednesday night in Montclair, New Jersey for a Town Hall meeting. Participants brainstormed the work that can be done together to increase services and supports for young adults and adults with autism. Among the resources featured was, a jobs portal for individuals on the spectrum.

On Thursday evening, the Autism Speaks Long Island chapter hosted a Town Hall in Farmingdale, New York. Part of an ongoing series of Town Halls across the country, this event focused on transition planning. Over 80 people joined us for the conversation, as we discussed the process of moving from adolescence into adulthood.
