Almost 100 individuals with autism, their parents, local service providers and educators attended the Transition Town Hall at Metro School in Charlotte. Those in attendance visited with local autism service providers; heard from local experts about how to prepare for a transition plan; and received information and resources.

Despite the more than ninety-degree weather, almost two hundred individuals from North and South Carolina came out to the inaugural Autism Speaks Safety Fair in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Fair also saw representation from fifteen local first responder groups, including local firefighters, medics, police officers, and more.

The national series of Town Halls on Adult Services focused on housing and residential services continued last night as North and South Carolina residents came together to discuss the crucial issues faced by adults with autism.
