On Tuesday evening, Autism Speaks and Monroe County Office of Emergency Management hosted a First Responder Training for more than sixty local first responders in Stroudsburg, Pa. The training facilitated greater understanding of autism and focused on helping first responders to recognize the signs while providing strategies to use in the field.

The Dave Wright Apartments in Heidelberg, Pa. will house adults with autism alongside residents without autism. The developers will be using NHS Human Services of Lafayette Hill, Pa., to help the residents with autism find work, provide such services as bookkeeping or shopping assistance, and help set up a tenants’ board.
