Quest Diagnostics Foundation Grant Will Help Fund Brain Development Initiative

October 08, 2007

Cure Autism Now gratefully acknowledges Laura May and the Quest Diagnostics Foundation for their support of CAN's science programs. Laura, a Chicago Chapter member and employee of Quest Diagnostics, has helped secure grants for the past two years,

with this year's grant of $20,000 designated to help fund CAN's Brain Development Initiative.

"Two years ago, I joined the Chapter," said Laura, who is an Administrative Assistant in Clinical Pathology at Quest Diagnostics in Wood Dale, IL. "Last year, I read about the Quest Diagnostics Foundation and had the appropriate information submitted about CAN. When I heard that the Quest Diagnostics Foundation granted them $20,000 to aid in the Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE) research, tears flowed from my eyes. This is so important to my family and me! The Foundation granted CAN another $20,000 this year for the Brain Development Initiative. Again, I cried. I am just so excited that the company I work for believes in CAN enough to grant these much-needed dollars. Our family is so happy and I am so proud to work for Quest Diagnostics."

Thank you, Laura and everyone at Quest Diagnostics!
