Autism Speaks, CDC and partners host COVID vaccine webinar for the autism community

On Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m. ET, Autism Speaks will host the CDC’s Georgina Peacock, M.D., and the presidents of the Autism Society of America and Autism Science Foundation for a webinar about COVID vaccines and autism

This panel discussion, moderated by Stuart Spielman, senior vice president of advocacy for Autism Speaks, will offer information about the impact of COVID on the autism community, why vaccines are important for protecting autistic people and where to find information about your state’s rollout plan.  

Featured panelists are: 

  • Dr. Georgina Peacock, MD, MPH, FAAP, Director, Division of Human Development and Disability, CDC 

  • Arun Karpur, Director of Data Science, Autism Speaks 

  • Christopher Banks, President and CEO, Autism Society of America 

  • Alison Singer, President, Autism Science Foundation 

Registration is limited, but a recording of the webinar will be made available on Autism Speaks YouTube channel following the event for anyone unable to attend the live event.
