Connections Camp is a therapeutic day program for children and adolescents with Aspergers Syndrome and High-Functioning Autism. The program is designed to meet the individual and social needs of children through peer groups. Participants enjoy summer activities like swimming, outdoor games, arts and crafts, and weekly field trips. Connections Camp provides structure, fun, and good teaching to develop successful social experiences for these children. Children are grouped together by age and ability. Each group is staffed at a 1:3 ratio, allowing optimal support and instruction. Teams are led by experienced Masters level professionals with specific training in supporting children with ASD. Group staff is recruited from within the organization and from nearby colleges. All staff participates in a four-day training program.
Connections Camp is offered at four locations in Northwest Pennsylvania.
