UPDATED: December 17, 2018

Taking Action for Special Kids (TASK) is a non-profit agency serving the needs of families with children with disabilities in Tazewell and surrounding southwest Virginia counties. We sponsor a dozen parent-professional workshops each year, as well as community events. TASK provides information on all disability-related topics, referrals for any needed services, and individual advocacy. TASK operates a four-week summer enrichment program for special needs children ages 4-21 in Tazewell County. Highly trained educators and paraprofessionals follow student's IEP's to help then maintain and build upon their progress. Educational and recreational programs are provided, including: swimming, bowling, social skills, reading, and personal safety. All TASK services are Free and Confidential.
