SEARCH Family Autism Resource Center

UPDATED: September 10, 2018

About Us:
Established by the Graduate School of Education at UC Riverside, SEARCH focuses on the screening and educational needs of families, including low-income and Spanish-speaking families, in the area of autism spectrum disorder. As part of our mission, SEARCH also conducts research aimed at helping families of children with autism within community and classroom settings in the Inland Empire.

SEARCH Staff include faculty and advanced graduate students in Special Education and School Psychology at UC Riverside, who are certified in autism gold standard assessments (ADOS-2), as well as licensed or credentialed consultants. Bilingual staff are available to provide assessments in Spanish.

Screening Services:
Provide autism screening services for children (2 to 10 years), by appointment only.
A brief phone interview with parents/caregivers is needed prior to screening.
Screening includes assessments of autism, behavior problems, and intellectual and adaptive functioning, if applicable.
Parents/caregivers receive a summary of the assessment in a written report.
Recommendations for accessing community- or school-based services may be provided based on screening results.
