Sacramento Autistic Spectrum and Special Needs Alliance

UPDATED: August 6, 2020

We bring all the pieces together and make them fit.

We provide high-quality, affordable, comprehensive social services to mentally-diverse young people ages zero through twenty-two years and their families in the Greater Sacramento region, to produce best-outcomes for our clients.

Ultimately, SASSNA exists to ensure the well-being of mentally-diverse young people in the Greater Sacramento region. We use a unique, flexible social services model to comprehensively meet the needs of any client that comes to us. Whatever the matter is, we can probably help - we have a wide breadth of expertise. Think of us as a one-stop shop for high-quality, affordable assistance regarding young people with brain-based diagnoses. However, we have broken our services down into several programs that encompass most of what we do and most of what our clients need: case management, advocacy, material assistance, and special events. Also, we are very excited to announce the development of a new, signature offering - SASSNA | care - a high-quality, outcome-oriented, comprehensive case management, advocacy, and support program for mentally-diverse young people ages zero through twenty-two, and their families, in the Greater Sacramento region.

Our organization is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. We were founded in 2011, as a very small grassroots group. Now we are a very busy, growing provider of innovative, high-quality professional services. We are an alliance of professionals, mentally-diverse individuals, families, and others interested in our cause. Our involvement of mentally-diverse individuals in all aspects of our organization is an important value of our philosophy and a unique characteristic for an organization serving young people.
