Laura Mahoney Autism & Epilepsy Foundation ("Laura Foundation")

UPDATED: April 18, 2019

The mission of the Laura Foundation is to provide funding to develop and support therapeutic recreation and educational programs that enrich the quality of lives of individuals with autism and/or seizure disorders. Since 2009, the Laura Foundation has built an adaptive sports and recreation facility in Madison, NH. At the Laura Center, programs incorporate social skills training, life skills training, adaptive physical education such as snowshoeing and indoor climbing wall activities, and therapeutic horseback riding. By the summer of 2019, an enclosed bicycle path will be complete, allowing for scootering and bike riding. Off-site swim lessons for individuals with autism are also part of Laura Foundation programming. All programs run through the Foundation are free to participants.
