UPDATED: September 10, 2018

Ivymount School is a non-sectarian, non-public special education day school serving children and young adults, ages 4-21, with developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorders and other related disabilities from throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Throughout the school, classroom models and instructional strategies are established to meet the individual needs of the students. Evidence-based practices, including Applied Behavior Analysis, systematic teaching, and data based programming are utilized across language rich environments including the classroom, school, and community. Ivymount's mission is to enable individuals to achieve their highest level of development; to support families in their efforts to make intelligent, thoughtful choices with their children; and to be leaders in the community and in the broad field of special education so that the School’s expertise is widely accessible.

Extending Ivymount's exceptional services to the community, Ivymount Outreach Programs offers recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs, including ABA services for individuals aged 2 through adult. Additionally, training and consultation across a variety of topics in the field of special education are available.
