Heritage Christian Services (HCS) is a nonsectarian human services agency in Rochester, NY that supports over 2,000 children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a multitude of programs including respite care, community habilitation, employment supports, residential programming, and recreational activities.

HCS partners with thousands of people throughout Rochester to ensure everyone – including children and people with developmental disabilities – feels valued and respected. Most of the agency’s more than 2,500 employees work directly with people who have disabilities so they can find the best place to live and work and build strong community connections. Other employees work with children at Expressive Beginnings Child Care in Henrietta, Greece or Webster. Thanks to their dedication, HCS is recognized as a Compass Agency by the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, distinguishing it as one of the state’s top 1 percent of service providers for people with special needs.

Heritage Christian Services is known for innovative community impact programs including the Pieters Family Life Center in Henrietta, the Center for Human Services Education and A Second Thought Resale Shop in East Rochester, Springdale Farm in Ogden and Heritage Christian Stables in Webster. Together, those programs serve more than 22,500 people annually.
