I have been a practicing clinical psychologist in private practice for 43 years in Bethesda, Md. I see people of all ages (except the
elderly) in Psychodynamic & Developmental Psychotherapies utilizing a variety of interventions designed for each individual. Since
the mid-1980s, I have concentrated on a relationship-based approach to ASD children, adolescents, and adults that positively changes
the their developmental trajectories. My work is founded on the DIR/Floortime(c) model that factors in how sensory-motior delays undermine each person's ability to communicate, relate, and coordinate body, mind, & emotion. Developmental practice has shown me that promoting the parent-child bond creates the optimal environment to boost the child's desire to connect, carry out intentions, and
organize his experience to empower him/her to construct an enriching life.
