Gateway to Learning
UPDATED: July 6, 2021
Our person centered and individualized programming focuses on the skill acquisition, development, and mastery needed to be an active participant at home, at work and in the community. Curriculum is designed to address key life skills including: pre-vocational and pre-employment, literacy, money management, socialization, citizenship, and empowerment. A strong emphasis is placed on vocational training, specifically in the area of culinary arts, and coupled with our Dorothy’s Can-Do Bakery and Café, provides experiential learning, food sanitation credentialing and the development of career paths for future employment in the food industry and other private sectors.
