FOCUS (Families of Children under Stress, Inc.)

At FOCUS, our mission is to embrace and equip families of children with disabilities to make everyday life better. Programs include:
• Support groups, hospital visits, parent retreats, bereavement support
• Weekly emails, mobile website, and periodic newsletter,
• Parent training for raising a child with a disability,
• Activities and camps where families can meet in friendly settings,
• Loaned and granted medical equipment that private insurance and Medicaid don’t cover,
• Saturday childcare – fun for the kids and a break for their parents,
• Adapted summer day camps – longer fun and breaks in a more structured setting,
• Swim teams that build skills and increase endurance, and
• Monthly social activities and overnight camps for teen and young adults.
