Camp Idlewild is for campers with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related learning and social challenges. Our low staff to camper ratio (1:2) allows flexible, choice-based activities. Campers participate in classic camp activities, and can access them at a level where they feel comfortable. Our staff knows how to adjust activities to be accessible for kids who are anxious trying new things, have sensory issues, different communication styles, short term memory issues, difficulty in groups, or who need more support around transitions.

Camp Idlewild is a nonprofit organization 501(c) (3) serving youth and families with special needs. We offer specialty and family camps, group rentals/retreats and other camper activities throughout the year. At Camp Idlewild kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders can be themselves and engage in recreational activities in a natural, supportive environment.

At Camp Idlewild kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders can be themselves and engage in recreational activities in a natural, supportive environment. Camp provides opportunities for kids to explore the magic of our world through activities like – nature exploration, swimming, crafts, sports, treasure hunting adventures, story-telling, star gazing, singing around the campfire with roasted marshmallows, and so much more! Kids can unplug from the world of technology and get connected face-to-face with others!
