Behavioral Health Services of Virginia’s in-home ABA
therapy program focuses on individuals under the age
of 21 enrolled in Medicaid who meet the medical
necessity criteria for the service. ABA therapy services
might be appropriate for individuals experiencing two
or more of the following:
1. Non-verbal or limited functional communication
skills.
2. Social skills deficits.
3. Frequent and intense behavioral challenges.
4. Disruptive obsessive, repetitive, or ritualized
behaviors.
5. Difficulty with sensory integration.
