Autism Sanctuary
UPDATED: June 10, 2022
Autism Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to promote the social, emotional, physical, and
cognitive benefits of connection with nature for those with autism, and by extension, provide agricultural work, internship opportunities, and
respite for disabled individuals of all levels of need.
We are located on an 85-acre therapy farm in White Hall, Virginia. Our property includes connecting walking trails, outdoor activity stations, and an agricultural hub complete with a large garden, apiary for bees, and space to raise cattle and chickens. We currently offer outdoor recreational space and gardening opportunities for individuals with autism and their families, and are working to incorporate more part-time employment for the local autistic population. Additionally, the Autism Sanctuary is in the process of creating more outdoor activities as well as an indoor center for media and arts.
