Artistas Cafe

UPDATED: September 10, 2018

Artistas Mobile Cafe's mission is: Feeding the Body, Mind and Spirit:

Body - Serving artfully-crafted beverages and snacks that are nutritious and delicious
Mind - Educating the community about the “Uniqabilities” of people with Autism and related diagnosis
Spirit - Creating a magical environment that is fun and uplifting

We are a Pathway to Employment partner with Autism Shifts, a 501(c)3 organization that prepares students diagnosed with Autism to transition to employment. The team at Artistas Cafe understands neurodiversity and the diagnosis of Autism and we create a safe and supportive work environment for individuals with Autism to practice the skills they learned through the Autism Shifts program. Team members learn the art of being a barista and at the same time develop their social skills, how to communicate effectively, how to work together as a team, how to multi-task and how to effectively manage their own emotions.
