ANIXTER CENTER RESIDENTIAL SERVICES FOR PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL/DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES

Depending on the needs of the person with the disability, Anixter’s residential support services range from home visits to services for families to 24-hour care. Settings vary from neighborhood buildings where 4-8 people are living in one home, to individual apartments leased by the person with a disability.

CILA: 24-HOUR SUPERVISED COMMUNITY INTEGRATED LIVING ARRANGEMENTS

Anixter Center’s 24-hour CILA services provide full-time supports for individuals residing in a variety of neighborhood homes with roommates. Staff are on-site at all times and offer opportunities for residents to build daily living skills and engage in community life.

I-CILA: INTERMITTENT COMMUNITY INTEGRATED LIVING ARRANGEMENT (I-CILA) SERVICES

Anixter Center’s I-CILA services are offered to clients who live on their own or with roommates or family. Caseworkers connect people with community services and offer direct assistance in life-skill areas such as medication compliance, budgeting, cleaning, nutrition, medical appointment follow-up and compliance, self-care, and linkage to community resources. I-CILA clients do not need a 24-hour supervised setting.

ELIGIBILITY:

A primary diagnosis of an Intellectual or Developmental Disability, meaning a severe, chronic disability attributed to a mental/cognitive or physical impairment or combination of mental and physical impairment diagnosed or that become obvious before the age of 22.

FUNDING:

Residents must have 60D CILA funding via the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) under the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Anixter Center offers apartment homes with independent living settings, which is different from our residential services.
