UPDATED: November 3, 2020
Mission
Affinity Community Counseling provides outpatient mental health services that enhance an individual's social, psychological, emotional and intellectual well being in order to support them in achieving their quality of life goals.
Services
Our clinical team provides a wide range of services including individual, family and couples therapy. Members of the clinical team have a diverse background in supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families in meeting their mental health needs. Areas of focus are often anxiety; anger; depression; grief; school or work related issues; behavioral concerns; family concerns; parenting skills; and relationship issues. Our therapeutic methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavior Modification. All of our clinicians are also Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) trained and utilize DBT strategies as needed. Our experience and education has allowed us to develop a special focus in developing services for those with more disabling mental illness with concurrent intellectual/developmental disability diagnoses.
Professionals
Our outpatient therapy services are overseen by an independently licensed mental health practitioner (LIMHP) and our therapists are all fully licensed mental health practitioners (LMHP) with decades of experience in the mental health and intellectual/developmental disability field. Our therapists have a true passion for supporting others in reaching their quality of life goals. Their experience, advocacy, and forward thinking approach to identifying and implementing solutions to mental health challenges positions Affinity Community Counseling on the leading edge of mental health consultation, support, and therapy.
