ACEing Autism - Dallas

UPDATED: September 10, 2018

ACEing Autism Dallas is a non profit organization that offers a weekly program to teach the game of tennis to children and adults on the autistic spectrum. We also run a Special Olympics tennis delegation, ACE10. Using tennis as a medium, the program also strives to help improve gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication / social skills and self-esteem.

Classes are held at the tennis complex on the campus of UTD in Richardson as a result of a joint sponsorship by the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, and the Men’s & Women’s Tennis Team. We run 3 seasons a year (fall, spring and summer). Each season runs approximately 8 weeks long. There are 6 different sessions held each season: 5 to 8 years (8:30am to 9am), 9 to 11 years (9am to 9:50am), 12 to 18 years (10am to 10:50am), Adult A (9am to 9:50am), Adult B (10am to 10:50am), Special Olympics (9am to 10:25am). Each student works one-on-one with 1-2 instructors.
