Our team. Our stories.
Corlissa B.
Business Partner, People and Culture
This career shift has been incredibly fulfilling, allowing me to help people in meaningful ways, especially since joining Autism Speaks in 2021.
For the last 29 years, I have dedicated my professional life to Human Resources, a career path I discovered unexpectedly after initially aspiring to be a graphic artist. My creative pursuits waned after college, but I found a new passion when I stumbled into this awesome career as an HR professional. This career shift has been incredibly fulfilling, allowing me to help people in meaningful ways, especially since joining Autism Speaks in 2021.
Although I didn’t have a personal connection to autism, the organization’s reputation for making a positive impact on the lives of autistic people and their families resonated with me. Through the years, I have been inspired by several friends who have participated in Autism Speaks Walks to advocate for the community, so when I had the opportunity to join the team, I took it. Every day that I work at Autism Speaks, I have a chance to make someone’s life better. For that I’m grateful.
