Application Summary
Welcome to Family GOALS (Goals for Achieving Lifelong Self-care)! A family-focused program where you (families, parents, guardians, caregivers) hold the key. As locksmiths handcraft each key for a specific purpose, every key is unique and can unlock something new. Together we will use the keys you hold to unlock your self-care or, ability to engage in meaningful life activities that you need, choose, and/ or desire to do. Throughout our journeys, we will focus on creating personal self-care goals, forming unique action plans that are matched to your lives, and navigating towards achieving your goals. We will also have a safe space and support to build connections with each other as we are a part of a diverse community of families who are raising a child or children on the Autism Spectrum. We believe that it is time you deserve some needed TLC (tender loving care) and quality support for your self. Just as it takes a village to raise children, you require the same care and empowerment to help you overcome life struggles and to do what is meaningful to you! Join Family GOALS, a one-of-a-kind program that centers on your self-care! We will meet online via Zoom on a weekly basis. We will also determine the meeting times and days that are doable.Family GOALS is defined by the meaning you identify and create on your self-care journey. It is a special place where you are valued and supported through life challenges alongside your achievements.
