Application Summary

Participants needed for UF College of Public Health and Health Professions Study!The Neurocognitive and Behavioral Development lab (NBDL) is currently seeking autistic individuals for participation in a clinical research study. This study aims to better understand the wide range of symptoms that are present in this disorder and determine their brain basis.Eligible individuals will be asked to complete the following non-invasive tests:-Questions about medical, developmental, and family history-Autism diagnostic evaluation-Puzzles, games-Tests of fine motor performance-Tests of gross motor coordination-Tests of brain anatomy and function

Study Inclusion Criteria

1) Adult aged 30-752) Person with a previous diagnosis of ASD OR has been suspected of having ASD (includes Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's syndrome, or Pervasive Developmental Disorder not otherwise specified (PPD-NOS))

Study Exclusion Criteria

1)< 30 or > 75 years 2) Are not able to understand task instructions (i.e., non-verbal, non-English speaking, or are not able to follow two-step instruction) 3) are not able to cooperate with testing procedures4) have history of a significant psychiatric disorder, which may include but is not limited to Schizophrenia or some Axis II psychiatric conditions5) have history of meningitis, encephalitis, seizure disorder or head trauma with loss of consciousness within the last 3 months 6) female individuals who are currently pregnant
