Teens with autism build social skills through the art of improv

June 15, 2015

At the comedy club Second City in Chicago, where comic greats John Belushi, Tina Fey and Bill Murray got their start, teens with autism are learning the art of improv.

"I can just kick back, be myself," one teen told NBC Nightly News.

The teens are building their social skills, something that many people take for granted. For one teen, comedy is an outlet for his creativity.

"I discovered that I have a specific talent, and I have something to express to other people."
