The Canadian National Tower (CN Tower), the tallest structure in Canada will Light It Up Blue on April 2, 2016 in honor of World Autism Awareness Day!

Located in Toronto, the CN Tower started construction on February 6, 1973, and opened to the public on June 26, 1976. In 1995 the tower was declared as one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

The CN Tower was originally built to serve as a TV and radio communication platform while showing the strength of the Canadian industry.

Today the CN Tower stands at 553.33 meters high and is the 3rd tallest tower in the world and remains the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere.
