(May 13, 2014) -- A stranger performed a random act of kindness last week when she paid a $485 tab for group of students with autism at Jose Teja's Restaurant in Iselin, N.J. The students, who attend autism classes at Matthew Jago School in Sewaren, N.J., were out to lunch to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. As they were getting ready to leave, the manager of the restaurant came to their table to tell them that their bill had already been paid.
The manager said that the stranger who payed the tab had a grandchild with special needs. When the students got back to school, they made a large thank you card which was later posted at the restaurant.
The card reads, "There are no words to express how touched and grateful we are to you. Your act of generosity will forever be embedded in our hearts."
