New York, NY – Autism Speaks today announced that Liz Feld has shared with the Board of Directors she intends to serve as President of the organization through June 2016. Feld has issued the following statement below.
“When I was named President of Autism Speaks, I committed to serving until 2016. Our primary goal every single day has been to support people and families impacted by autism. They have been the singular motivation behind all of our work in awareness, advocacy, science, and family services. I am proud to be part of a dedicated team that is guided by such an important mission and am grateful to Bob and Suzanne Wright, whose vision and passion inspired me to join Autism Speaks. It is a privilege to experience Chairman Brian Kelly's professional guidance and leadership.
I am making this announcement now in the interest of providing the Board of Directors and the organization the opportunity for a responsible and successful leadership transition. I remain focused on ensuring solid success for our critical projects and initiatives in the months ahead.”
