Sensory Overload Film Wins Prestigious Design Award

A film that began as a senior thesis by two Ringling College students has been featured in the New York Times and just won the grand prize in the 2014 Adobe Design Achievement Awards.

Marisabel Fernandez and Alexander Bernard’s film is titled “Listen,” and it combines video with animation to portray how a non-verbal child with autism and sensory sensitivities experiences the world.

The talented students also won the editing and post production categories. The 2014 Adobe Design Achievement Awards received 4,400 submissions from 70 countries around the world. The duo took home $5,000 in prize money along with other gifts.
