Autism Speaks teamed up with Major League Baseball and the San Diego Padres on April 13th for Autism Awareness Night. More than 211 tickets were sold to support the mission of Autism Speaks and a great time was had by all who attended, as the San Diego Padres took on the Arizona Diamondbacks at PETCO Park.
Autism Speaks was represented on the field by Jennifer Jones, ,director of field development for Southern California, San Diego Walk Chair Beth Selbe and Self-advocate Thomas Selbe. A highlight of the pregame ceremony was little Tanner, a child on the spectrum, starting the game off by saying “Play Ball.” A Quiet Zone Suite was available for families and we spread awareness at our Autism Speaks Information booth.
We thank the San Diego Padres organization for their continued support throughout the years. Go Padres and Go San Diego!!!
