Qatar Airways to Employ Young People With Autism

December 17, 2014

Autism Speaks' partner, the Shafallah Center, is partnering with Qatar Airways to help employ young people with autism.

“Qatar Airways has been a long-standing contributor to social responsibility and this partnership is especially close to the airline, being a Qatar-based center that is committed to the development of contributing members of our society," Qatar Airways CEO Akbar al-Baker said.

“At Qatar Airways, our new team members from Shafallah Center are provided with the same benefits and opportunities to learn, work and grow their careers as we do with our existing employees."

Opened in 1999, the Shafallah Center gives comprehensive services and care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders and their families.
