In the middle of his U.S. trip, Pope Francis, took time during a White House visit to greet people with disabilities and their families who eagerly anticipated this arrival. One of those waiting to interact with the the Pope was 13-year-old Jake Edwards who is the Autism Ambassador in Montgomery County, Maryland. His mom filmed the video above of the interaction.
Jake was honored at the White House on Monday as a Champion of Change during a ceremnony with Vice President Joe Biden. Jack accepted the acknowledgement alongside Officer Laurie Reyes who created and implemented what is now the Montgomery P.D.'s Autism and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Outreach Program.
