(September 30, 2014) -- Rick Guidotti is trading his job as a photographer in the fashion world to help spread awareness for those with disabilities. In 1998, Guidotti formed the non-profit organization Positive Exposure which looks to show through photography the world of those with genetic, physical and behavioral differences.
A recent article written by Cincinnati.com highlights one of Guidotti’s photography sessions with Austin Bitter, a 12-year-old with autism who has Fragile X Syndrome. Guidotti told the paper on the day of the shoot, “As an artist, I don’t see beauty on covers of magazines only. I see beauty everywhere. And it was just so frustrating to be told constantly who I was allowed to acknowledge as beautiful.”
