(October 19, 2014) - More than 3,000 of attendees and 200 Volunteers participated in 11th Annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks 5K Walk and Autism Resource Fair on Sunday, October 11th, 2014 at Liberty Station at Point Loma. To date, the event raised more than $104,000.00 in support of Autism Speaks’ mission to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families.
We had representation from all three Southern California Committees on hand to support including San Diego, Orange County and Los Angeles. We also had two Southern California Board members attend our San Diego Walk and talk on stage, Priscilla Picard and Anshu Batra. Sponsor attendees and community partners included: Butterfly Effects, ABA Foundation, abc10, EMCEE Little Tommy, Home Depot and “The Friar”- Mascot for the San Diego Padres.
