NYC Non-Profit Offers Autism-Friendly Days for Children with Autism

June 05, 2014

(June 5, 2014) -- Thanks to the non-profit organization Autism Friendly Spaces, families are enjoying autism-friendly experiences at museums, restaurants and Broadway theaters in New York. Autism Friendly Spaces attempts to offer as many of these experiences as possible by offering designated days for families with children with autism to visit different  venues.

In partnership with the Theatre Development Fund, Autism Friendly Spaces has worked on autism-friendly Broadway shows including "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" and "The Lion King." In the future they hope to expand this program to amusement parks and vacation destinations.
