Macy's Herald Square and Bloomingdales on 59th in New York City, NY will Light It Up Blue this year in honor of Autism Awareness Month and World Autism Awareness Day!
Macy’s Herald Square was built in 1902. The historic building was added to the National Register of Historic Places as a National Historic Landmark in 1978.
Bloomingdales was started by Joseph and Lyman Bloomingdale in the 1860’s and officially opened in 1872.
In addition to going blue Autism Speaks national board member Laura Slatkin will be at Bloomingdales on 59th Street on April 1st as she kicks off a month long fundraising initiative during Autism Awareness Month. You can learn more about that event here.
